I always have big plans when ordering Thai food, and at the end of the day, I always order the same thing, pineapple fried rice, and either pad see ew or pad Thai.... I went with the pad see eew this time and was so glad I did, it was delicious. Flavorful sauce with just the right amount of piquancy and noodles that were soft but not gummy.... Mmmmmm! Great pineapple fried rice with fresh pineapple chunks (so sweet!), and the crab rangoons get a special mention - piping hot with real crab in them! Fast service and just a lovely meal sitting outside watching the world go by! Great value for money too!

We had a wonderful lunch at Galanga Thai today! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service made the experience even better. The employees were very friendly, welcoming, and always smiling, which created such a great atmosphere. We ordered the Chicken Pad See Ew and the Galanga Thai Seafood, and both dishes were outstanding. The Pad See Ew had perfectly cooked noodles with amazing flavor, and the seafood dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. It's not always easy to find a place where both the food and service are equally excellent, but Galanga Thai delivered on both. We will definitely be coming back the next time we're in Santa Barbara. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved our experience at Galanga Thai Restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, satay chicken, spicy fried rice (with basil, peppers, and bamboo shoots), and the pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp — and every single dish was a standout. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was so attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed the entire time. If you’re in Santa Barbara and craving Thai food, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Today I tried the Lemon Fish at Galanga, and it was absolutely amazing. The flavor was bold and perfectly balanced, served in a hot pot that truly felt like eating authentic Thai food back in Thailand. Another must-try dish was the Grilled Pork with Sticky Rice. The pork was tender and aromatic with spices, paired with soft, warm sticky rice — such a perfect combination. Every bite made me feel less homesick for Thailand. I’d definitely say Galanga is one of the best Thai restaurants in Santa Barbara. Highly recommended! 🇹🇭✨

This is a solid option, the fried rice was not too salty and the appetizers were plenty crispy, if you have trouble deciding where to eat, take this place into consideration. The fried rice somehow felt just a tad bit too wet, perhaps taking away from the essence of true fried rice, but it was delicious still. Bonus is that this place has no wait.
